Accelerating Light Science

Biophotonics is a scientific field merging biology and photonics , with photonics being the science and technology of generation, manipulation, and detection of photons, quantum units of light. Our Biophotonics Lab research work is focused on biophoton emission, the light generated by all living organisms, for cancer innovative applications development applied to clinical non invasive diagnostics and therapies involving reengineering mechanics of the solid and fluid components of tumors with light based tools to provide extracellular matrix (ECM) strategies to improve cancer treatment.
